SAVOY BROWN TO RECORD NEW ALBUM
Savoy Brown goes into the studio on February 21st to record a new album for release on Quarto Valley Records in September. The new release will coincide with the band’s formation by Kim Simmonds in the winter of 1965. The album, titled Ain’t DoneYet, will mark the band’s 55th anniversary.
Ain’t Done Yet is a continuation of the path Savoy Brown has laid down with their two most recent releases, “Witchy Feelin'” and “City Night”. Simmonds states, “It’s the same me, same band, same studio, same production but a brand new collection of songs that I’ve written over the past year.”
With more than 40 studio albums recorded during it’s existence, SavoyBrown remains as one of the longest running blues rock bands still making new music today. It’s a band as valid now as in the fabled past of the 1960s.
